Launture LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates LifeSchoolers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing)
  • Name (optional)
  • Account role (student or teacher)

Usage Data

When you use the Service, we collect:

  • Worksheets you generate (topics, difficulty, number of problems)
  • Your answers and submission scores
  • For teachers: school names, class names, and student enrollments

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We receive from Stripe: a customer ID, subscription status, and billing history.

Uploaded Content

If you use the OCR homework grading feature, we temporarily store images of handwritten homework you upload. These images are processed to extract answers and are stored securely.

Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics, including pages visited and features used. This helps us improve the Service. PostHog may use cookies or local storage for this purpose.

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process your transactions and manage your subscription
  • Generate and grade math worksheets
  • Enable teachers to manage classes and view student progress

LifeSchoolers is designed for use by students, including children under 13 when supervised by a parent, guardian, or teacher.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Children under 13 may only use the Service through accounts created by their parent, guardian, or teacher.

Teachers and schools who add students under 13 to their classes are responsible for obtaining parental consent as required by COPPA and other applicable laws.

If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without proper consent, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete that information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Uploaded homework images are retained for 90 days after processing to allow for review, then automatically deleted.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

  • Passwords hashed with PBKDF2 and unique salts
  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Secure cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare)

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Access - Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction - Update inaccurate information in your account settings
  • Deletion - Delete your account and associated data from your account settings
  • Data Portability - Request your data in a machine-readable format
