Welcome to LifeSchoolers. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LifeSchoolers website and services (the "Service") operated by Launture LLC ("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account on LifeSchoolers. If you are under 13, you may only use the Service through an account created by your parent, guardian, or teacher.
Teachers and schools who add students under 13 to their classes are responsible for obtaining any required parental consent and complying with applicable laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
2. Accounts
When you create an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account by contacting [email protected].
3. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the fees indicated for your chosen plan. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Share your account credentials with others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated means to access the Service without our permission
- Upload malicious content or code
5. Content and Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Launture LLC and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Worksheets and problems you generate through the Service are for your personal or educational use. You may print, download, and share worksheets with your students or children.
You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Service, such as homework images for OCR grading. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process and store that content solely to provide the Service to you.
6. Teacher and School Accounts
Teachers who create schools and classes are responsible for their students' use of the Service. Teachers may add students to classes using email addresses or join codes.
Teachers represent that they have the authority to add students to their classes and have obtained any necessary consent from parents or guardians for students under 18.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
While we strive for accuracy in problem generation and grading, we do not guarantee that all problems, solutions, or grades are error-free. Users should verify results for high-stakes assessments.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LAUNTURE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
